Hi all, Back from California. Went to the ISGB gathering. Saw some wonderful glass beads and excellent demos/presentations. Bought a new torch, glass and other do-dads. Weather was cool but enjoyable. Met a new friend who is a bead maker from San Diego. Now down to bizness. I have a show in Sept that I need to make beads for. I also have to get beads for sale on this website. Wowzers lots to do. Have a great day and I will chat later.
Friday was the big judging at the fair. Got there late with only 15 mins. left of the judging. Pretty cool what they do. They were judging sewen dresses. They were announcing why and how they placed in the judging. My catagories were already done so I asked if I could pick up any pieces that did not place. All placed (yeah) but they could not tell me what they won. So I will learn when I go to the fair. Very exciting.
Ok, today is the day to get my entries into the fair.
This will be fun. Can't wait to see the action up front.
Tell you tommorrow what I learned about this fair thing.
Hi all,
Getting my jewelry ready for the Wisconsin State Fair. I have entered 4 projects for judging. Somthing I always wanted to do. It will be fun to see how I did and to be included in the crafts at the fair. Keep your fingers crossed. Also sent one bead for the silent auction at the ISGB conference in Oakland CA. Lots to do but little time.
Just heard I will be in the Sept issue of Bead Style Magazine. Check out the project. Judy from JP Designs used one of my beads and the project was accepted. Cool. Need to get on my torch.
Rain, Rain go away!!! Flooding in the basement, no torch for me. Steve is up to Door County for the Steel Bridge Song writers camp living his dream doing lots of recording. I am bailing out the basement keeping my head above water.
Bead and Button show was a wonderful experience. Enjoyed every minute. Have a whole year to get ready. Signed up for a new show in Naperville Ill. in Sept. Got to get to the Torch soon.
